Masque Theatre's "This World, the Next, and Then the Peach Orchard" including "Blues, Blues" was chosen among 273 theatres to represent USA in official program of “World Festival of Puppet Art” in Prague from 31 May to 6 June  2010.

Immediate projects which need support include:
Representing the United States at the Prague International Theatre Festival at the end of May.  Travel expenses must be incurred by our company and our government cannot help with funding at this time.  

We asked.

Performance and video project in Israel ultimately to be broadcast on television.  This will include
    1) performances at the Palestinian National Theatre’s International Festival in October of 2010 located in Jerusalem.  
    2) Continued collaboration with composer Ady Cohen for a non-verbal opera / theatre project entitled “King Fear”.  Location in Jaffa, Israel.
    3) Interviews with several theatre practitioners, theatre historians and other artists in Israel on the subjects of arts in their community; functions of same; relations to other artists of various genres and religions; social / political situations influenced by the use of the arts.
    Four people will be travelling; two videographers and two performers.  Travel and lodging funds are being sought.

Future developments will include International Artists visiting and performing in the United States  which will include dialogues to get to know the people and their processes and heritages clearer. Artists are great ambassadors for their countries.  Seeking to share is their primary goal.
